IFAKO IJAIYE LG CHIARMAN, TOBA OKE PRESENTS  N3.1BN BUDGET OF REKINDLED HOPE

The Executive Chairman Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government, Apostle Oloruntoba Oke formally presented the 2021 Budget to the Legislative Arm of Government today,18 March, 2021 at the  NRC Building, Bola Ahmed Tinubu Way, Iju, Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos State. The presentation according to Oke is a statutory responsibility and an opportunity to  press home his administration’s  vision  to serve despite the COVID-19 pandemic and the END SARS protest which affected economic growth and stability of the country. ‘I’m  bringing hope to  people of Ifako-Ijaiye by rebuilding the destruction caused by the event side by side the financial projections for 2021 as we reflect on all programmes and projects carried out by this administration with major facilities needed within our community for which we intend to execute’. He said his projection is to  improve upon all that have been  achieved in the past year, to rekindle hope and to consolidate the gains of the past years with a determination to  improve on the provision of social amenities ‘ hence we have made more provision for capital expenditure with a proposed budget  of Three Billion, One Hundred and Seventy- Seven Million, Three Hundred and Twenty Four Thousand, Ninety Four Naira and Twenty Four Kobo (N3,177,324,094.24).’ While saluting the doggedness of  leader of the Council, Honorable Councillors and People of Ifako-Ijaiye, the council’s Czar added that his priority  is geared  towards the Administration’s Six(6) point Agenda which will improve the  standard of living of the people of Ifako-Ijaiye with  focus on Marketing management and Trade Development, Welfare package for the Elderly, Comprehensive Healthcare Delivery, Youth Empowerment/ Skill Acquisition, Sports Regeneration , Infrastructural development  & Social Amenities.
