A journalist working with Legit TV, simply identified as Abimbola, has been arrested by officers of the Lagos State Police Command during the #EndSARS protests memorial at the Lekki Tollgate in Lagos on Wednesday.
Another man, who was clad in white and bearing an #EndSARS banner, was also arrested by the policemen.
Abimbola said he had misplaced his identity card but had his driver’s license in his car parked nearby. He alleged that the officers hit him after they dragged him by his belt into their parked van.
Another man was arrested while granting an interview to journalists by the Lekki Tollgate.
According to the video shared on Twitter, he was accosted by a band of policemen and arrested after one of the officers shouted, “arrest the idiot”.
